SUMMARY
When four travelers on the run break down in the small town of Goshen, none of them expect to end up staying there permanently. But as mysterious circumstances continually prevent them from leaving, the eerie little town begins to draw each character in, tempting them with their deepest and most secret desires. As the evil of Goshen begins to reveal itself, each character must make a choice: stay with their dreams, or escape with lives.

SCRIPT SYNOPSIS
Four travelers drive together along deserted highways and back roads: Nathan, the soft-spoken and loyal driver; Smoothie, the wounded leader whose greatest weapon is his mouth; Joan, the weapons specialist with a violent temper; and Robert, the enigmatic hostage with an agenda all his own. Fleeing the scene of a crime, the four find their way into a small, dusty town in the middle of nowhere: Goshen.

The strange citizens of Goshen prove almost too pleasant in the paranoid minds of the criminals, who learn about each other and their eerie surroundings as they argue over the best course of action. A baby-faced sheriff refuses to leave them alone; a scandalous bartender tempts Nathan with a life he's always dreamed of; a gaunt mercantile clerk watches Joan with hungry eyes. After the local doctor miraculously healed Smoothie's wounds, everything seems fine until the car breaks down on the way out of town. Stuck in a town that becomes more frightening each hour, Nathan observes his surroundings, intuitively aware that dark secrets lurk in the hearts and streets of Goshen.

OUTLIER follows each of the four characters as they struggle with growing fear and paranoia while trying to escape the eerie circumstances that keep them trapped in Goshen. As mistrust festers and tempers flare, only Nathan keeps his wits about him enough to start piecing together the puzzle. The fight to escape intensifies, alliances grow and decay, and a dark conflict rises from the mysteries of Goshen.

Ultimately, the dark secret hidden within Goshen traps Nathan, Smoothie, Joan, and Robert as the opportunity for escape quickly slips away.
